“Chers musées…”

I came to broader public attention in June 2020, at the height of the global Black Lives Matter movement, after self-publishing an Op-Ed titled Chers musées… addressed to French cultural institutions. In it, I called for a stronger commitment to the production and dissemination of knowledge—both within and beyond institutional walls—about Africa and people of African descent, as a means to counteract misinformation, distorted historical narratives, and systemic racial disinformation.
